Featured blogger: Anni Jürgenson at Style Hurricane

Hey guys, as you may of read in earlier posts I have been working on writing a feature on blogger Anni from Style Hurricane. It is finally finished and I am happy to announced that is it ready to read! Enjoy! xx

Just take it from Yves Saint Laurent when he infamously quoted "Fashions fade, style is eternal". Although many may lack this way of "eternal style" Anni Jürgenson, fashion blogger and uprising jewelry designer has got it down pat.

The 14 year old Estonian wonderkind is known on her blog (stylehurricane.blogspot.com) for her quirky cool style, killer thrift store finds and funky DIYs. Not to mention recently winner of second place in a nitty-gritty fashion design contest. Her main source of inspiration? “The whole theme for the collection was military/warrior inspired,” she says “But also nature, especially deserts”.

But how does a young blogger break out into the crazy fashion business? “I started my blog in January, 2009. The first two months it had only 5 followers, and it has grown so fast! I can't remember why I started but it probably looked like a popular thing to do and the only way to express my thoughts about fashion. I've gotten tons of cool experiences and gone to so many events and places I would never got chance to go to if I wasn't blogging.”

As the age of young bloggers is rapidly rising, it is always hard to get a daily dose of education and still have time to make a post for your starving readers. Not to mention, running your own etsy shop above it all. “It's kinda hard! She quotes. “And I wish I had more time for fashion projects and making jewelry. I have lots good ideas but I just don't know how to accomplish them.”

With big hopes and dreams in her near future having enough time for making jewelry may be the key. “I think I'll first graduate high school, then study here in Estonian Academy of Arts, After that, the whole world opens up for me: Paris, New York, London, Milan.. Well, I don't like planning my future so I guess I can't say anything yet!

“Fashion is a world with no rules and laws, but it's definitely interesting and exciting. Once you get into it it's hard to get out.” Amen!
